Wading In: Exploring Trout Creek Day

To celebrate Trout Creek and the Kennebecasis watershed and highlight many of our local interest groups and organizations who care about healthy and thriving waterways and communities, the KWRC is hosting a FREE and exciting, family friendly event called Wading In: Exploring Trout Creek Day on Saturday, September 22nd from 10:00 am – 3:00pm.

Your Wading In adventure starts when you visit the KWRC’s booth at the reception area in Burton Park where you can pick up your map and passport to visit the many exciting partners participating in this event.

Whether adventuring on foot or by bike, use your map locate the partner checkpoints along the Sussex Nature Trail where you can view planned demonstrations and engage in activities and conversation with our participating partners and local experts to learn more about the ecological and social significance of Trout Creek and other waterbodies in New Brunswick. Don’t forget to get your passport stamped at each checkpoint and return it to the KWRC staff at the reception area in Burton Park to receive a prize package and also have your name put in a draw to win a rain barrel and other big prizes!

The event will be held rain or shine so please dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear for walking the trails.
