For over twenty years, Science East has offered interactive professional development workshops for educators. Participants experience inquiry-based activities in a manner similar to how students experience them. This provides time for educators to play, test activities and understand how inquiry-based instruction can be implemented in their own classrooms.
Activities are chosen based on the grade levels taught by participants, ensuring activities are related to the required curriculum. In addition, activities and information delivered is based on the Science Learning Resources Packages developed by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development in collaboration with Science East.
Sessions range for 1 hour to a full day.
