Science East STEM Kits
Hands-on STEM,
delivered to your school.
Bring more hands-on science into the classroom with Science East STEM Kits. Designed for New Brunswick public schools, our kits provide engaging activities, materials and resources that make it easier to explore STEM with your students.
What's Inside
Everything you need to get hands-on with STEM.
Science East STEM Kits are ready-to-use classroom resources built around hands-on exploration. Each kit gives teachers the materials and activities they need to help students investigate, experiment, build and discover.
Materials Included
Kits come with the materials and equipment needed to complete the included STEM activities.
Ready-to-Use Activities
Each kit includes activities and guidance to help teachers bring the experience into the classroom.
Hands-On Exploration
Students learn by doing — experimenting, designing, building, testing and asking questions.
Made to Be Shared
With the kits staying at your school for several weeks, multiple teachers and classes can take part.

Meet the STEM Kits
From coding and robotics to engineering, sound and light, each kit gives students a different way to investigate, experiment and learn through hands-on STEM.
BeeBot
Coding & RoboticsBeeBots give students a screen-free introduction to coding. Students program a bee-shaped robot to travel through a maze, practise thinking multiple steps ahead, explore how bees communicate through dance, and even create their own language.
Sound
Science & MathStudents collect, represent and analyze data from around their school while exploring sound. The kit creates natural connections between science and mathematics through real-world investigation.
Code-a-Pillar
Early CodingStudents learn how to communicate with robots through code while recreating simple patterns. Working in pairs encourages communication, problem-solving and early pattern recognition.
Simple Machines
EngineeringStudents explore simple machines and investigate how they provide an advantage when doing work. Using the supplied materials, students put their learning into action by creating their own simple machine.
Ozobots
Coding & PatternsThese screen-free robots help students strengthen pattern recognition and computational thinking. Students draw paths for the robots to follow and use special colour patterns to trigger different actions.
Light and Shadow
Physical ScienceStudents investigate the world of light and shadows by asking questions, searching for shadows and manipulating light in different ways. The activities encourage students to investigate the world around them.
Structures
Design & EngineeringStudents design and build houses, towers and other structures using materials such as straws, blocks and planks while exploring shapes, construction and creative problem-solving.
Micro:bit
Coding & TechnologyStudents use simple programming to control LED displays and interact with sensors. The hands-on experience introduces coding in an intuitive way while encouraging creativity and building foundational programming skills.
STEM Kit availability may vary. Science East works with schools to coordinate delivery and the collection available during their STEM Kit period.
How It Works
A whole collection of STEM, delivered to your school.
Science East delivers a collection of STEM Kits directly to your school, giving teachers and students time to explore hands-on science across multiple classrooms.
We Deliver the Kits
Science East brings a collection of STEM Kits directly to your school, ready for teachers and students to use.
Your School Explores
The kits stay at your school for approximately four weeks, giving multiple classes time to experiment, build and discover.
We Collect Them
At the end of the rental period, the STEM Kits are returned so they can continue their journey to another school.
Not a New Brunswick public school? If your school, organization or community group is interested in STEM Kits, we'd still love to hear from you.
