The Canada-Wide Science Fair 2026 brought together some of the country’s brightest young minds in STEM from May 23–30 in Edmonton, Alberta. Hosted at the Edmonton Expo Centre, the national event welcomed nearly 400 finalists in Grades 7–12 and Cégep from across Canada. Throughout the week, students showcased innovative research and STEM projects while competing for nearly $2 million in scholarships, awards, medals, and prizes. Their work inspired thousands of visitors, both in person and online, and highlighted the exciting future of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in Canada.
This year, 16 students represented Team New Brunswick, earning their place at the national fair through regional science fairs held earlier this spring. Their creativity, curiosity, and commitment to solving real-world challenges made New Brunswick proud on the national stage.
Science East was honoured to support Team New Brunswick throughout their Canada-Wide Science Fair journey. As delegates and chaperones at the national event, and mentors in the months leading up to it, we had the privilege of helping students prepare for judging and presentations while witnessing their growth, resilience, and innovation firsthand.
At Science East, we believe in empowering young people to ask big questions, think critically, and pursue bold ideas. Team New Brunswick exemplifies that spirit.
